Most of the time - absolutely. Most products claiming to be authentic aromatherapy products are really not. You need to know what you are looking for. The essential oils need to be pure and unadulterated for therapeutic purposes. Many store bought products have been chemically altered. Your Body Needs pure essential oils are specifically created for the purpose of aromatherapy. Why is Aromatherapy important? Aromatherapy is one of the world’s most popular complimentary modalities. French physicians prescribe essential oils to their patients. In other parts of the world, pure essential oils are part of every day life. Athletes use essential oils for their bodies and to help them train. Learning more about this wonderful modality helps you to take more control of your life and your body. Essential oils are true treasures from nature. By understanding a little bit about these wonderful essential oils, they can add a difference to your life. Selecting oils that work for your body’s needs or environmental needs means your quality of life improves. When you find the right essence that resonates with you, whether it be for physical or emotional well being, you will instinctively feel the goodness of the essence. It will provide a feeling of warmth and confidence that stays with you. You will fall in love with it. Is Aromatherapy only about fragrance? Aromatherapy requires the use of a specific source called essential oils. These essential oils have therapeutic qualities which direct the outcome of a specific purpose. These essential oils have to go through rigid extracting procedures for them to qualify for use in aromatherapy. Not all fragrances or oils are suitable for aromatherapy even though sometimes labels suggest that it is an aromatherapy product. Is there more to Aromatherapy than just ”relaxation?" It is true that some essential oils make excellent relaxants and help calm the nervous system. Aromatherapy is more than a “feel good” modality. Aromatherapy can help aid in a broad range of conditions and moods. It also helps tremendously in preventive health care. Is Aromatherapy a new age phenomenon? The use of extracting oils from plant sources for therapeutic benefit has a history dating back many thousands of years and spanning many different cultures such as Egyptians, Greeks, Chinese, Indians, Romans. Can I use Aromatherapy as a replacement for traditional means of health care? Aromatherapy can be defined as a complimentary modality. It is meant to compliment existing forms of health care you receive rather than replace them. Essential oils are excellent tools to practice preventive medicine however aromatherapist should not recommend exclusive usage over and against traditional medicine.
